This election Queensland’s assets are again under threat from the architect of Campbell Newman’s Strong Choices privatisation campaign, Tim Nicholls.
The new leader of the LNP is trying desperately to keep the issue of asset sales out of the public debate this election, despite pushing for privatisation as the party’s prime fiscal policy at the last election.
Even Campbell Newman says Mr Nicholls was the driving force behind his government’s privitsation campaign and cuts to jobs and services.
Polling shows the LNP would need the support of One Nation to form government in Queensland and implement their asset sales agenda. Unfortunately for Queenslanders, One Nation have shown time and time again in the Federal Senate that they are willing to rubber stamp their Liberals masters’ anti-worker agenda.
Put simply, a One Nation and LNP Coalition Government in Queensland would mean the sale of Queensland’s public assets, and lead to extreme rises in power bills, while services and jobs are cut.
Put One Nation and the LNP last this election and save our assets!
